Seventeen form Boots new Primers

Floorless Poreless Primer

The first of the Primers I'm going to talk about is the Flawless Poreless Primer which is the round compact in the picture above. This is a solid primer in pan form and it is silicone based. Its clear and is very smoothing when applied to your face.  It did help to conceal my very large pores but didn't banish them completely :-(
I haven't yet found a primer that totally conceals my pores but they are quite large, it did however help alot with my fine lines under my eyes which is fab ...... you don't need alot so I think this would last a long time.

Stay Time long wear Primer

This primer is quite different to any other primer I have tried before, Its the one in the tube pictured above.  It says on the description that it is like a glue for your make up.......well it is true, When you first apply this primer to your face it feels just like that, In fact it feels really strange on the skin for the first minute or so. Then it just feels nice and smooth and ready for your makeup, I have tested this several times, in hot weather, cold weather and just general day to day wear and its fantastic at doing exactly what it says it does.....keeping that makeup on your face lol I'm very impressed with this primer and will defiantly re purchase once this has run out. VERY IMPRESSED

Beauty UK Lip crayons

These are the new Posh Pouts from Beauty UK, they are very simalar to what most makeup companies are bringing out now ever since Revlon launched their Kissable balm Stains way back last year.  These dont claim to stain the lips which is good as they dont, but they are very nice all the same.  They are very pigmented and very moiturising on the lips but they dont last very long so you do have to keep reapliying I think they are around £3 each which is quite a good price point and they would be great for someone starting out with makeup !! I have had them for quite a while and I do use them often, but they are not what I reach for If I want a long lasting lippy. All in all I think they are fab as a lot of the Beauty UK items do x x x

BYS long lasting lipstick from Store 21

BYS Long lasting lipstick

I came across these lippys when I was in a Store 21 near Croydon, I knew that the range existed but had never really tried it, when I spotted them near the till area, I immediately thought of Wet and Wild as the packaging is quite similar to that.  I swatched a couple on the back of my hand and was very impressed, the pigmentation is amazing and its very creamy even though they are long lasting lipsticks they didn't feel dry. They were retailing at £1 each which is crazy so I bought every colour they had lol.
I tried one on my lips as soon as I got home and it went on really nice, after about 5 mins it kind of set on my lips but still didn't feel to dry, It lasted on my lips for about 4 hours, and for a £1 lippy I think that's amazing.. It did become more dry over time but still wasn't uncomfortable on the lips at all. If you have a Store 21 near you that stocks the BYS makeup range defiantly go and check it out as the whole of the range is only £1 per item. I love wearing these lippys and I'm loving the autumnal colours, I hope they bring out some more next spring. I also purchased 3 of the eye shadow quads which I will do a separate blog on x x x

Persil

PERSIL BIO SMALL AND MIGHTY

So here is my opinion on the new Persil small and mighty. I was sent this product from Buzzagent which is a company that you sign up to and they send you products for review, I opted into this campaign as I was interested to see how this product performed.  When I got my box through the post I was amazed to see not only had they sent me a full size product (pictured above) but also 4 sample sizes to so that was nice.
Anyway on to the product.. I had a white polo shirt that had had paella sauce spilled on it and thought that this would be perfect to test the new persil on.  So I used the little green ball that is provided in the bottle to treat the stain by pouring a little of the gel directly on the stain and working it in with the little nodules on the base of the ball, then left the product for about 10 mins whilst I got the rest of the washing sorted.  I placed all the washing in my machine (which I should point out is new) and put the green ball with the persil in on top of the clothes, I also added water softener to my machine as I always do in every wash and I put it on a cottons cycle.
When the wash had finished I hung it outside to dry and could still see a very faint yellowy mark on the shirt but it was hardly noticeable, then when I got my washing in the sun had bleached the rest of the stain out.
https://www.bzzagent.co.uk/member/MemberHome.doMY FINAL THOUGHTS....... This product performed really well, The stain was at least 2 days old so it was really dried in and I think if I had left the pre treatment on for longer it would of totally removed the stain. I'm very impressed with persil as I have not used it for years due to the rest of my family having a reaction to it, but so far Ive only used it on my clothes and have been using it for about two weeks now. Excellent well done Persil.

Revlon Colourstay foundation review

Revlon colourstay whipped foundation is not readily available in the UK, I received mine in a swap from New York.  I allready have the colourstay liquid which I love, but it does feel quite heavy when applied to the skin, as its full coverage.  The whipped is a gel like consistancy and this makes the feel on the skin not as heavy, and it blends beautifully with the same coverage as ghe liquid, I would say though that I did need to set it with powder.  Im loving this foundation right now and it has replaced my colourstay liquid.  I will have a demo of the application on my youtube channel very soon.

Chit Chat Highlighter from Poundland

This highlighter comes from Poundland and its their take on Benifits High Beam, and I must say its amazing considering it only costs £1. Its a thick gel like liquid that when applied to the skin give a lovely glow.  Poundland also does a cheek tint which is really good.

Poundland Chit Chat juicy lipstick

These are Poundlands take on crayon lipsticks. I have the Revlon just bitten kissable balm stains, and I love these, but they are not cheap.  I have 5 colours ranging from very light pink which is quite a sheer colour to a deep red that is very pigmented.  They dont stain but they dont claim to so thats cool.  They are though, very moisturising indeed and for £1 they make a very affordable coloured lip balm.  I allways keep one in my bag, so I can allways have moist lip and still feel pretty  x x x

Loreal Confetti Top Coat

This is the new concept in top coats, confetti in a bottle, This is Loreal's version.  Its a clear varnish with little black and white speckles in it.  The varnish dries very quickly and it has just enough speckles.
When applied over a light pastel polish it reminds me of speckle painted easter eggs.  I have applied this over two of the BarryM polishes so far and it looks georgous, I love this stuff so much and basically cant stop wearing it lol. I have had mine for about two weeks and it has gone down quite a lot.
In this picture I have the confetti top coat on over BarryMs Papaya, I have re applied this at least 3 times.  This retails for £4.99 and loreal have often got special offers on like BOGOF or 3 for 2

Maybaline Colour Vivids Lipstick

These are the new colour Vivids by Maybaline. They are very pigmented and vibrant lipsticks. They are not a glossy finish when applied but they are not matt either, I would say they are more of a satin finish and after wearing them for a while they can feel a little drying on the lips, but I have managed to combat this by applying a lip balm either before you apply, or keeping one around in case you need a little moisture.  They look amazing on the lips. The packaging is pretty cool to with the classic Maybaline square lid in the most brightly coloured Orange.

The swatches on my hand here show the vibrancy of the 3 colours I picked up, and this was just one swipe. I have a pink, a plum and a coral which will look fab in the spring/summer. They stayed on my lips for quite a while even though they don't claim to be long lasting.  All in all I love these bright lippys and will be purchasing more very soon.

SHEER COVER POWDER FOUNDATION

Sheer Cover powder foundation is a revolutionary foundation that was originally designed for use as a corrective makeup. Then it became so popular that it was then sold to the public as a normal foundation.  It has natural ingriedience and uses light reflctive particals to throw the light away from your face creating the affect of blured floors in the skin. This to me is amazing as Im not keen on my large pours and fine lines.  I use this mainly in the summer but as its quite full coverage I use it if I want more of a flawless look.  This foundation can be purchased from http://wwwsheercover.com or http://www.qvc.com and comes in lots of different kits.
If you have tried this please let me know your thoughts in the coment box below x x x x

PURE BB CREAM

This is not a review as such, but a bit of a rave  about this Pure BB Cream. I love this stuff so much, its inexpensive at just £1.99 and I purchased it at Savers, a high street discount drug store here in the UK, I have also seen it in a little old fashioned chemist. This BB cream has the most amazing coverage, it evens out the skin tone effortlessly and gives just the right amount of moisturisation without feeling greasy.

As far as I know it comes in two shades, Light and Medium, I have it in light as I'm quite pale, and it suits me fine, and I like to use mine as a base for my powder foundation.   I have many BB Creams 1 of which is high end and I can honestly say this is my favourite one.

I would happily recommend this to anyone with any skin type as I think it would be good for all. I just wish it was more readily available. x x x

MUA Pro Base Fixing Mist

MUA have now brought out their own Fixing mist, these are designed to keep your make up in place after you have finished applying it.  It creates a kind of barrier between your make up and the world around you therefore making sure your face looks as fresh as the moment you applied your make up.

I have tried a few drugstore fixing sprays, Collection, ELF and one that I made myself using Rose infused water and Glycerin. All of these were quite successful but my make up still seemed to fade by the afternoon-evening.  But the MUA fixing spray did seem to work for longer, quite a bit longer and I found that it actually made my make up look smoother after I had sprayed it on.  So even though I haven't tried any high end fixing sprays such as Skindanavia or Urban Decay I think that I would be quite happy not to !! Knowing that there are drugstore ones out there that work.

MUA Undress Your Skin Highligher powder

MUA have recently released some new products in their Pro range including a highlight powder, so I was very interested to try it as I hadn't really owned a proper highlighter before. I had always wanted to try lightscapade by Mac but that was to expensive to just try.  When I found the MUA one in store it was on an introductory price at just £3.50 so I purchased it.

The packaging does look slightly cheap, but its quite sturdy and the fact that you can see the product right through the lid is great because you can see exactly what are you getting.  The highlighter itself looks peachy toned but its not when you get it on your skin. It has the most gorgeous moon glow on the skin that catches the light with every movement of your face

As you can see from this picture the colour that is in the pan does look peachy but when it on my finger its the most amazing soft pearly glow.  I have used this in several of my You tube tutorials and have had loads of comments and compliment on it.  I think it looks very high end when you apply it to the face but the packaging does let it down a bit, but this is by the by as it i very inexpensive.  You can purchase this at Superdrug and I think its priced at £3 or £4 I love this highlighter and will continue to use it. x x x

MAYBALIENE MASTER SMOKEY SHADOW PENCIL

These are the fairly new eye kohl pencils from Maybaliene, they are slightly thicker than your average eye liner and they have a large smudger on the other end.  They come in four colours, Smokey Black, Smokey Purple, Smokey Navy and Smokey Chocolate....my personal fave.  The eye kohl itself is very soft and glides on the eye beautifully with no dragging or scratching.

They can be used in and below the water line and they stay put all day, but when you use the smudger it creates a whole new affect, making a smokey eye so easy to do, great for beginners.

The swatches in this picture do not do these pencils Justis, the softness and vibrancy is amazing, and I'm really impressed.

If you are looking for a soft waterproof kohl pencil that smudges easily then this is the pencil for you.

MUA Intence Kisses Lip Gloss

This is going to be my review on the new-ish lip glosses by MUA. I discovered these last at the end of last year when I was scouting the drugstores for a new lip gloss to try, simply because I was getting into making my You tube videos and didn't really wear or own a lip gloss product because I just wasn't keen on it at all.  My experiences with lip glosses in the past had just been terrible, I hated the feel on my lips, they were sticky and thick and I just didn't wear them at all,

So I was on the look out for a lip gloss product that was glossy but not thick or stick and that didn't have an awful sweet smell.........impossible most of you would be thinking at this point and indeed so was I. I just thought that finding something like this was going to be a nightmare or just very expensive.

Well a random trip to my local Superdrug one rather cold gloomy day last October solved all my problems.  I went to the MUA stand as I always do just to see what new things they were bringing out when I spotted these rather cute little lip products. They said they were lip glosses that stayed put and they were only £2 each. So I swatched a couple on the back of my hand, and the pigmentation just blew me away.  The colours were so opaque and strong, there was no stickiness at all and the smell was just a subtle candy smell without being (fairground) OTT. Hallelujah I had found exactly what I was looking for in a £2 lip product from MUA. I think I have all their colours now and they arnt that long lasting but by the impact on your lips is amazing with these bad boys !!!! I would definitely recommend these to a beginner or a professional Make Up Artist as the quality is just mental for the price.  Please let me know if you have tried these and what you think of them in the comments and don't forget to follow my blogs for more make up news and reviews x x x

Thanks for taking the time to read my Reviews it means so much to me x x x x

RIMMEL APPOCOLIPS LIQUID LIPSTICK

This is my opinion on the Rimmel Appocolips Liquid Lipsticks.

I purchased my Appocolips lipsticks when it was 3 for 2 in boots, they  were only £5.99 each and I loved the look of all the colours after only having swatched a couple on my hand in store.  They are very creamy and smooth when applied and don't dry out the lips.  They last quite well but if you are eating and drinking it will come off as it is a gloss. But saying that they are really easy to re-apply. They are extremely pigmented and very glossy and they come in some stunning shades that cater for every ones tastes including two sexy reds a corral, two beautiful pinks and a nude.

These are just 4 of the stunning shades and you can see how opaque they really are, I would recommend these to anyone.

If you have tried these please leave a comment about what you think of them to x x x x

ESTEE LAUDER DOUBLE WEAR FOUNDATON

This is my review on the Double Wear Foundation from Estee Lauder. I had wanted to try a high end foundation for a real long time and I was unsure which one to go for ! Being a You tube Beauty Guru I had plenty of help trying to pick one.  I narrowed it down to two, Mac and Estee. The Mac foundation I was only able to order on line and there lay a problem! You see if I decide I want something I want it yesterday lol so to save me having to wait I went for the Estee as it was readily available in my local Debanhams.
I was colour matched in store and was given the advise I needed on application and how to remove it. The cost of the foundation was £27.50 which to me was quite expensive but I really wanted to try it.
I applied it with my Real Techniques buffing brush, and it blended very easily and was very full coverage, this is what I feel I need, I didn't really need to set it with a powder, but I did as I do get very shiny during the day.  I am really impressed with how the make up lasted throughout the day and I did not have to re powder at all. My make up looked just as good when I took it off as it did when I put it on.

I would recommend this foundation if like me you are after full coverage that lasts all day. It gives me the confidence to get through a busy day.
I have a video review on You tube I will link it below x x x x

Garnier 7 days intence hand cream

Just wanted to pop on and tell you all how much I love this hand cream. In my job Im wearing vinel glove all the time, and as u can imagine my hands get really sore and cracked, this hand cream has proven to be the best at soothing and healing them. I love this stuff x x x

NYC long lasting lipstick

NYC Expert Last Lipsticks

As you can see, I have quite a few of the NYC expert last lippys. I think that this is their new formulation of the original lippys and they have also revamped the packaging.
First off, the packaging does look a bit cheap but it is sturdy and the lids dont break or fly off like the old ones did. I have a few in my makeup draw that look a bit worse for wear with cracked lids.
Second the barrels of the lipstick are coloured as to the lipstick on the inside so storering these upside down is a dream.
They have a pleasent smell which is always good and they are very inexpensive £1.99 each from Superdrug. The pigmentation is amazing and even thought these are long lasting lippys(and they are!) it is not drying on the lips at all, they are really creamy and very comfortable to wear.

This picture shows two  my most worn and Fave colours, I just love these lipsticks and they are such a bargin. If you are looking for a long lasting but not drying lippy these are deffinatly for you. Please coment if you have tried these and tell me what you think x x x

Revlon nearly naked foundation and powder

REVLON NEARLY NAKED FOUNDATION AND POWDER

This is my opinion of the new Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation and Powder. I was really excited to get this foundation as there hs been so much hype on Youtube about it. I wasnt sure it was going to be for me as I heard it was light to medium coverage, and my skin isnt at its best at anytime so I really need all the help I can get. hen I finely got round to purchasing mine I was excited to try it but also not holding out much hope of me liking it.

First impressions were very good, I love the simple glass bottle but was bummed it didnt have a pump, (this is a minor detail) because on the first application to my face I was stunned at the coverage. It was deffinatly a medium coverage that was very buildable. The foundation glided on like silk and felt lovely on the skin, It set to a satin finish and was ot patchy or cakey. I then set it with the nearly naked powder, and this powder is heavenly, Its silky soft and feels very luxsurious and creamy soft, and the fiished result looked in my opinion very good. (just a heads up, it takes alot for me to say that about my skin). I applied my make up at about 8.30am on the day that I was testing this and I didnt have to re powder untill about 3pm, so the staying power on my oily-combination skin was fab.    The only real niggle I have about this foundation is the lack of a pump, and that I dont think the UK has the full colour range at present, but overall I was impressed
It retails for £8.99 and the powder is £6.99 or at least it was when I got mine, but its not an expensive purchase if your looking for a new Foundation x x x

MUA Undress Me To Pallette

I really loved the Undressed pallete that MUA brought out last year the colours were almost a perfect match to the Urban Decay Naked. In fact I have been usng my MUA shadows all the time since I purchased it. So when they brought out the Undress me to pallete a month ago, I was gagging to get to Superdrug and get mine. I must say that I love it almost as much as my Undressed pallete, and even though its already had some very mixed reviews, I really like mine.

As you can see they decided to bring out this pallete in white packaging, which I prefer from the black, and the colours are a really good match for the Naked 2. I have swatched all the colurs side by side on my skin and they look pretty good . The shadows are not as creamy smooth as the UD ones but really guys when the prices of these two palletes are put in a comparson woul you really expect the same quality ????

Lets look at that more closely.............

Urban Decay Naked 2 around £40
MUA Undress me to  £4.00

Lol I mean come on, I really like MUA products and I own quite a few, but I'm not being one sided here, I'm simply telling it like it is.

If you want the softness and lastability then you pay a ridiculous amount of money and go for Urban Decay !! They are of course better quality and if you are a make up artist then this would be the better option. But if you are an average Jo like me, who wants to still look good but on a budget most of the real world can afford then you go for the MUA .
